Cellulite Treatment in Newport Beach, CA

Cellulite can occur in anyone, regardless of the amount of fat present. This is because cellulite is not necessarily due to excess fat, but instead the constricting of fibrous septae beneath the skin pushing against the existing fat, causing it to pucker. While cellulite can occur anywhere on the body, it is most commonly found on the buttocks and upper thighs.

While cellulite is a harmless skin condition, it can be unsightly and cause many women (and some men) to feel self-conscious about the dimples and pocks on their skin. However, there is a cosmetic treatment to help improve the appearance of cellulite.

QWO® Cellulite Treatment is the first and only FDA-approved injectable treatment for cellulite on the buttocks. This treatment can help clear up moderate to severe cellulite and give you skin that looks as young as you feel. You’ll be proud to show off your results in a bikini.

As of now, QWO® Cellulite Treatment is only FDA-approved for the buttocks.

At your consultation, Dr. Grazer will evaluate your condition and decide if QWO® is the right treatment for you.

What Can I Expect From My Cellulite Reduction Procedure?

There are numerous benefits to Cellulite Reduction using QWO® that go beyond the physical improvement of cellulite appearance. A few of these benefits include the simplicity and length of the procedure and the fact that there is no downtime associated with it.

Before the procedure, a topical numbing gel may be administered, though it is not needed. The procedure itself takes approximately 10 minutes. You will lie facedown on the table, and your provider will mark the cellulite dimples to be treated. Then, the QWO® Cellulite Reduction solution will be injected into the subcutaneous fat under the dimpled skin using a syringe.

Since there is no downtime, you will be ready to get back to your normal activities.

For best results, you should have three treatments spaced three weeks apart.

What Is Recovery Like?

While there is no downtime associated with QWO® Cellulite Treatments, you will experience some soreness in your buttocks as well as bruising and swelling in the injection sites after your treatment. These should dissipate over the next seven to 10 days. You will have less bruising and swelling for your second and third treatments.

You will want to refrain from any strenuous exercise to the lower part of your body during the first week or two following each treatment. This will simply help speed up the recovery.

What Are the Risks Associated With Cellulite Reduction using QWO®?

Though rare, there is always the chance of risks and side effects. In addition to soreness, bruising, and swelling, for QWO® Cellulite Treatments, these risks and side effects include:

  • Pain
  • Allergic reaction (including hives, shortness of breath, etc.)
  • Itching
  • Redness in the area
