Jeuveau™

Frown lines develop in response to repeated facial expressions, collagen loss, and the natural breakdown of tissues. While these forehead wrinkles are initially only present when your brows are tensed, they can eventually worsen and become permanent. Jeuveau™ offers the temporary reduction of moderate to severe frown lines. This injectable is derived from a form of botulinum toxin and works by blocking chemical signals to the facial muscles. Jeuveau™ Candidates

Jeuveau™ is recommended for healthy adults looking to temporarily relieve moderate to severe glabellar lines (frown lines). Potential candidates should inform their doctors of all allergies, and discuss any nerve conditions, such as ALS, Myasthenia gravis, or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, as these may increase your risk of potential side effects.

Procedure

Frown lines form due to repeated muscle contractions. Injectable treatments with Jeuveau™ prevent frown lines in adults and offer wrinkle relief by blocking chemical signals that allow your facial muscles to contract. These injections provide the temporary smoothing of glabellar lines.

Jeuveau™ (prabotulinumtoxinA-xvfs) uses purified botulinum toxin made with HiPure™ technology, a modern manufacturing technique that is less damaging to the botulinum toxin protein. Because of this, Jeuveau™ may be more potent than other similar neuromodulators.

Before the injection, the area around the eyebrows will be numbed to ensure a comfortable treatment.

Recovery and Results

Jeuveau™ injections may cause localized pain, inflammation, tenderness, swelling, and bruising. This is typically temporary and should resolve over a few hours or days.

Jeuveau™ offers the temporary smoothing of frown lines and the return of a more youthful appearance. Results can last up to four months, and most Jeuveau™ patients receive an average of three treatments per year.

Potential Side Effects

While Jeuveau™ injectable treatments are safe and effective, the risk of side effects is still present. These complications may include:

  • Headache
  • Eyelid drooping
  • Upper respiratory tract infections
  • Increase in white blood cell count
